Collaborative Research with University of Western Australia
Students from University of Western Australia(UWA) and BPH final year students of LA GRANDEE International College along with some students from Pokhara University have recently collaborated for a research work of the Australian students. The research is entitled as “Evaluating The Impact of an Open Defaecation Free(ODF) Program in Kaski District, Nepal”. 10 Australian students along with other distinguished guests and supervisors as mentioned below were all welcomed to the college on July 11, 2017.

A short introduction program was hosted by Academic Coordinator, Mr. Pradip Kumar Lamsal at LA GRANDEE on the same date with formal introduction of all the students, supervisors and college representatives. Principal, Er. Kiran K.C. and Chairman, Mr. Devraj Chalise delivered welcome notes to the delegates and expressed their keen concern on this association and further committed to raise the possibilities for more effective and continuing collaborations in the coming days as well. Prof. Jane and Mr. Heijnen also delivered their inspiring remarks on the occasion.
In the second session, students of Australia as well as from LA GRANDEE presented the demographical, geographical along with health issues and scenario in their respective country’s prospective. Dr.Julie Saunders delivered lectures on issues related to Health Promotion and Education. The day ended with a group discussion amongst all the students and the supervisors regarding the research activities and the conduction planning. The research shall be conducted from July 11 to July 19, 2017. The collaborative work has been facilitated by Kanchan Nepal.
