Blood Donation & Mini Health Exhibition

LA GRANDEE International College in coordination with Nepal Engineers’ Association, Regional Center, Pokhara, organized a Blood Donation program at the college premises. The program was initiated by NEA on the occasion of its 55th Engineer’s Day celebration and fully supported by the college. The program was coordinated by the Principal, Er. Kiran K.C., who is also the 9th Executive Committee member of NEA, Pokhara. College Principal, other Engineers along with college students, faculties and staff actively participated in the donation program. Chief guest of the program was Mr. Devraj Chalise, the chairman of the college. Total 74 units of blood was collected. The program started with a formal session at 8:00 am and blood donation was inaugurated by the Chariman by with handing over the blood bag to the 1st donor, Er. Ramesh Bastola, former president of NEA, Pokhara.

Meanwhile, students of BPH program organized a Mini Health Exhibition relating to the blood donation and general health issues on the same day. Around 30 students were involved as volunteers for the blood donation program and exhibition. BPH program coordinator, faculty Ms. Kalpana Jnawali and students’ of IDEAS for LA GRANDEE collectively made all necessary arrangements for the exhibition. All the visitors were very curious and enthusiastic to visit all the stalls and inquire for the health issues with the students.
