Charity and Motivational Program
On January 27, 2019, Students of BBA 7th Semester conducted a field visit under the course Fundamental of Entrepreneurship, but primarily focusing on providing charity and support to the students of Maya Universe Academy (http://mayauniverseacademy.org/), Vyas-11, Chisapani, Tanahun. The Maya Universe Academy, established in 2011, is a chain of free private schools currently operating in 3 different locations run by youths and dedicated towards social welfare by educating students of rural communities. The program was a continuation to the fund collection program “Tea for Cause” in which students had collected a sum of Rs. 28000. In coordination with faculty Ms. Ganga Ghale, students handed cash Rs.25000 along with stationary, sports and other school materials to the Academy founder Mr. Manjil Rana. Besides the charity, they conducted interactive and motivational sessions for the school students of grade 2, 3, 4 and 5.
Besides their support, students also had interaction with the founders and the volunteers of the school through which they also learnt about the operation and motivation of the Academy towards such social work. This way, participating students also got knowledge about the social entrepreneurship and further committed to provide more support to them in the days to come for which they have already scheduled a fund collection program on February 25, 2019.
